Romantic gorge trail
The Kesselfallklamm gorge is open all year round, but from the beginning of December to the end of February the path is not supervised, during this time you walk it at your own risk!
The Kesselfall is a wild and romantic gorge trail from Augraben to Semriach. You hike along the rushing spring water on footbridges and bridges through the romantic Kesselfall.
Starting and finishing point: Gasthaus Sandwirt, T. 03127/8226, www.sandwirt-kesselfall.at
Length: 2.7 km
Walking time: 1.5 hours
Elevation gain: 180 m
Trail numbers: 740 and 740 b
Sights: Kesselfallklamm gorge, stone gate
Characteristics:
The Kesselfall is a protected natural monument. A particularly beautiful hike on well-built footbridges and bridges in a wooded area. This hiking trail is particularly popular with children due to its proximity to the water and the ladders to climb. Not suitable for small children, baby carriages and dogs!
Refreshment stops:
Sandwirt Inn
Note:
Entrance fee for the gorge € 2.00 for adults (children up to 14 years free).
We recommend walking through the gorge "uphill" as the steps and ladders are easier to climb this way.
Opening hours:
The Kesselfallklamm gorge is accessible all year round, but there is no path supervision from December to the end of February. Walking is therefore at your own risk! The trail network is maintained by the Austrian Alpine Club, Semriach local group.
