Arzberger Stollenkäse
It is thanks to the enthusiastic cheese lover Franz Möstl that cheese is now ripened into a delicacy in the tunnels of the former silver mine. He turned his passion into a profession, bought the "Grubenhaus" in 2009, had a 270 m tunnel built into the mountain and converted the "Grubenhaus" into a "cheese workshop".
Numerous cow, sheep and goat cheeses are now matured here. The cheeses are produced in the Leitner dairy and are made exclusively with milk from Almenland . Year after year, the dairy achieves top positions in international cheese awards. In March 2018, the "Arzberger Ursteirer" was even named runner-up in the USA and the "Caprissimum" won the title of "Best Cheese in Austria" in Norway in November 2018.
The Almenland Genussladen in the Grubenhaus is open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Hay milk, cheese, butter & yogurt - Sennerei Leitner
In Tulwitz, the Leitner family produces cheese, fruit yoghurt and natural yoghurt from the milk of their own cows. The cows are not given silage, but only grass and hay as basic feed. The young cattle and some cows are regularly calved on the Teichalm over the summer, where they are milked directly in the Harrer hut and the milk is also processed into tasty alpine butter.

KUHLEMUH - Milk & cheese from the Gschaidbauer family
The cows live in a loose housing system with straw-rich cubicles on the farm of the Gschaidbauer vulgo Magerlmichl family. Michael and Andrea have been running the dairy farm together with their three children and Michael's parents since 2011. The farm is situated at an altitude of 670 m above sea level and covers an area of 7 ha of forest, 5 ha of leased alpine pasture and 8 ha of grassland. All of this provides the basis for KUHLEMUH's natural milk. You can collect natural milk from our milk vending machines in Passail and Weiz around the clock.
