Parish church with high altar worth seeing

The parish church in St. Kathrein am Offenegg, which was dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria, stands slightly elevated. It was first mentioned in documents in 1295, and St. Kathrein has been a parish in its own right since 1640.

Worth mentioning is the high altar with the picture of the Holy Family, the figures by Johann Piringer (1767) and the choir chapel altar with the scourging Christ and Mary.

We also recommend a tour of the flower village of St. Kathrein, a member village of the Styrian Flower Route.
