Statement on accessibility

Almenland Regionsentwicklungs GmbH endeavours to make its website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Federal Websites and Mobile Applications (Web Accessibility Act – WZG) Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 in the current version.

This declaration on accessibility applies to www.almenland.at

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and with the European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the incompatibilities and exceptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons:

a. Incompatibility with the accessibility regulations

  • Keyboard navigation & focus marking: Some interactive elements cannot yet be fully operated using the keyboard or have an inadequate focus display.
  • Missing alternative texts for images: Some images do not yet contain alt texts.
  • Low color contrast: Certain text and background contrasts are not sufficient due to the design specifications of the corporate identity (CI).
  • Complex language: Sometimes technical terms and complex sentence structures are used that are not understandable for all users.

b. Disproportionate burden

  • Accessible PDFs: Many PDF documents were created before the accessibility requirements came into force and cannot be subsequently optimized.
  • Audio descriptions for videos: Not all embedded videos have audio descriptions.
  • Insufficient keyboard operability: Not all interactive elements are fully accessible via the keyboard or have visible focus markers.

c. The contents do not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions

  • Archived documents & content: PDF files and multimedia content published before June 28, 2025 are considered archived and are exempt from the requirements.
  • External content and embedded third-party services : Our website is technically managed by the agency Crosseye Marketing GmbH . In addition, some embedded content—such as hiking maps, cycling maps, and other interactive maps —comes from Contwise Maps and is automatically imported via their system. This third-party content (e.g., maps, social media feeds, or plugins) is outside our direct sphere of influence and is not subject to the same legal requirements regarding accessibility. However, we strive to ensure the most accessible solutions possible, even when working with partners.
