Across the alpine pastures or through the gorges: the Almenland Nature Park is a wonderful place for hiking! At the heart of the nature park are the Teichalm and the Sommeralm, which are perfect for leisurely hikes from alpine pasture to alpine pasture. But there are also spectacular gorges and water-bearing ravines. The Raabklamm is Austria's longest gorge and a Natura 2000 protected area. The picturesque little pilgrimage church of Schüsserlbrunn is known far and wide, and a hike here can easily be combined with the Hochlantsch, the highest elevation in the Graz mountains at 1720 meters.

Summer is also the perfect time to explore the Almenland nature park by bike. Whether mountain biking, cycling or on a leisurely tour with the family - you can really enjoy your cycling vacation here!

Along the hiking trails and cycle tours, you can stop off at the inns: a sunrise on the Plankogel with a hearty mountaineer's breakfast on the hut terrace or along breathtaking views on the Ochsentour and then fresh trout with a view of the lake. There is no doubt that the Huab'n Theater has long been known far beyond the borders of the Almenland as a flagship for culture and Austrian theater classics. The nature park's theater center is located at 1,132 m above sea level and has become the landmark of the Brandlucken with its wooden open-air grandstand.
The Brandluckner Huab'n Theater was founded in 2000 as an amateur theater. It has remained so to this day, even though it is now run very professionally. The climate at over 1,000 meters above sea level only allows the theatre to operate in the summer months, but the atmospheric theater evenings in front of the Brandluckner Huab'n attract a good 13,000 enthusiastic visitors year after year. Mainly Austrian comedy classics are performed.
In 2025, "Der Brandluckner Jedermann" by Reinfried Schieszler after Hugo v. Hofmannsthal and Franz Löser will be performed from July 2.
