The nature park Almenland is part of the Oststeiermark adventure region and is located in the heart of Styria, just 50 km north of the provincial and cultural capital of Graz. With its 125 contiguous Alpine pastures, Almenland is one of the largest Alpine pasture areas in Europe.

The small but excellent lifts in the Almenland Nature Park are fully geared towards the needs of families. This is precisely why it is important to our lift operators to make skiing affordable - away from mass tourism. There are magic carpets, toboggan runs and fairytale meadows waiting for the enthusiastic young guests, who can also learn to ski in the ski schoolswho take great care of the youngsters on the slopes. Parents will be pleased with the manageable size of the facilities, the culinary offerings and, last but not least, the reasonable prices.
The season kicks off with the lively FamilySkiDay on the Teichalm and Sommeralm in December. On this day, children up to the age of 15 can ride the lifts for free, and there are also many other program items such as free ski water, skidoo rides, a demonstration exercise by the mountain rescue service, race training with the ski club and much more! The sunniest trails far and wide
Always with far-reaching views of the alpine pastures and past tempting places to stop for refreshments, our cross-country trails are among the most popular in the country! The sunny trails between Teichalm and Sommeralm with a total of 29 kilometers, awarded the Styrian cross-country quality seal, are a magnet for both skaters and cross-country skiers who prefer the classic style. Equipment rental and a cross-country skiing course for beginners complete the offer!
Snowshoe and winter hiking
Nothing is more relaxing than hiking through the beautiful winter landscape. It's quiet, the snow glistens and the alpine panorama is simply magnificent: a nature experience away from the pistes or cross-country ski trails. For all those who are out and about on snowshoes for the first time, the Plankogel circuit or the Heulantsch circuit are very good options. Snowshoes can be hired at the Stoakoglhütte on the Sommeralm (start of the Plankogel circuit) or at the Reisinger snow sports school (start of the Heulantsch circuit). However, you are not tied to a specific route with the snowshoes, you can explore the Teichalm or Sommeralm as you wish!
The guided snowshoe tours with"Abenteuer Management" or the team from"Freinatur Steiermark" are also very special. Those who want a little more excitement can take part in a winter adventure tour, going uphill on snowshoes and downhill on a toboggan!
There are prepared winter hiking trails especially for all hikers who want to take it easy, these are easy to walk on with good footwear. Idyllic walks along the icy streams, through the snow-covered winter landscape and enjoy the fresh, clear air. Then back to the hotel, where the numerous wellness facilities await.
