Education center, meeting place & nature experience
The education center in Mixnitz is there for everyone interested in nature . Whether you are young or old, a Styrian or a guest, you can gain a better understanding of local nature here. We use humor to show the fascinating interrelationships of nature.
We offer numerous courses and workshops for families, children, nature enthusiasts, schools and kindergartens. In addition, our premises can also be hired for various occasions such as company events or weddings . Naturwelten Steiermark is also the educational center of the Styrian Hunters' Association and thus a meeting place for hunters beyond the borders of the province.

Would you like to get to know us? No problem. From May to October, guided tours of the natural worlds take place every Friday at 14:00.
Registration is required at all other times. Visits without a guide are not possible.
Why? We want to explain as much as possible about nature and hunting with all their connections in our cultural landscape. Our experience stations make this possible, but only in the company of our forest and hunting guides, who are very knowledgeable about all facets of hunting.

A brief insight into our guided tours:
Our 30 adventure worlds, an explorer and forest workshop on the topics of the environment, climate, nature and native wild animals offer adventure and a sense of achievement for young and old! Questions like: Why the robo-sheep is not a friend of butterflies and how foxes and badgers live will be a thing of the past after a visit. Exploring the world of wild animals from the rocky regions to the alpine pastures, forests and meadows, identifying animal sounds or being allowed to look into the hunter's rucksack are also part of the nature experience in Mixnitz. Every visitor will discover new "natural worlds" and at the same time learn how easily they can contribute to the preservation of our nature.

Café Stoabock
Welcome to Café Stoabock! The café is a popular meeting place for nature lovers.
It exudes a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. From freshly brewed coffee to homemade cakes and hearty game snacks - there's something for everyone here.
Opening hours:
- May 01 to October 31: Wednesday-Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- November 01 to April 30: Wednesday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In principle, the opening hours apply regardless of public holidays - changes may occur in individual cases. These will be posted in front of Café Stoabock or published on the homepage and on our social media channels!
