Excursion to Arzberg
World champion picnic
The small village of Arzberg is somewhat hidden at the entrance to the Raab Gorge and has a long mining history. Accordingly, there is still a silver mine to visit and also the Almenland-mine cheese is also stored underground here. The mining nature trail also refers to silver mining in times gone by. Above the church, several benches with a view await hikers at the Way of the Cross.
Almenland Stollen cheese, T. 03179 23050
In the gourmet store, award-winning cheese awaits connoisseurs. There is also a special hiking snack (cheese, sausage, fruit juice, beer and chocolate) for € 15.90. The best place to buy the wood-fired bread or baguette to go with it is at the Niederl bakery in Passail.
Opening hours: Mon - Fri, 08:00 - 16:00
