There are virtually no intensively farmed fields and fruit crops in the Almenland nature park, which means there is no spraying. This means that no pesticide residues can get into the honey. In addition, the alpine pastures with their rich variety of herbs and medicinal plants offer the bees the opportunity to produce honey with special active ingredients.

A group of innovative beekeepers from Almenland have set themselves the goal of producing not only honey of exceptional quality, but also a variety of other first-class products from the bee colony. Numerous award successes confirm their quality work.

Almenland-Beekeeping Kreiner

At 700 m above sea level, approx. 1200 m from the center of Passail, you will find Almenland Imkerei Kreiner. The Kreiner family has been intensively involved in beekeeping and the marketing of bee products for over 20 years. The farm not only produces various honey products, but also Almenland chocolates. Guided tours and tastings are also offered.

Beekeeper Karl Kreiner heads the project group "Almenland-bee products", holds beekeeping seminars and is a trained quality manager.
