Almgasthaus Stroßeggwirt ***

Directly on the Mariazellerweg

Tired, thirsty or hungry hikers can warm up in the Mühlhäusl right behind/next to the inn in an emergency shelter, refill their drinking water or visit the toilet.

The family-run business with rustic parlors and cozy seating in the winter garden is located at 1,170 m above sea level between the communities of Gasen and Breitenau am Hochlantsch.

They offer 8 double comfort rooms with satellite TV, shower/WC and balcony and 9 rooms with beds for a total of 90 people - enough space for pilgrims and hiking groups.

The Stroßeggwirt is the starting point or refreshment stop for many hiking trails, such as the Mariazell hiking trail.

Inquiries and reservations by telephone only! Coaches welcome!
