Lindenberg Church

Church of St. Anna am Lindenberg

The church of St. Anna stands prominently on the Lindenberg and is visible from afar. The branch church of the parish of Passail was built in the 16th century in the late Gothic style as thanksgiving for the fact that the long raging plague had finally been turned away from the people. In the central shrine is the carved group "Anna teaches Mary to read", the high altar from the Renaissance was gilded in 1893.

Today, the Lindenberg church is above all a popular wedding church and an equally popular excursion destination. The view from the lime trees planted around 1500 over the Passail basin is truly magnificent.
