SAM - shared cab
Gentle everyday mobility
Since January 2020, the "Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark - SAM" has been available in our nature park Almenland. This micro public transport system runs 7 days a week, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. with regional cab providers at reasonable prices. SAM supplements the existing public transport system in 62 municipalities as a shuttle service for the first and last "mile" and offers mobility in regions without public transport. SAM is also a mobility alternative for the environmentally conscious decision not to use a car and a feeder to car and bike sharing and other mobility services in the region.
How does it work?
Cab journeys can be booked in advance and are processed at the exact time. There is a maximum waiting time of one hour for spontaneous trips. The shared cab picks guests up at the nearest meeting point (SAM board), which must be specified when booking.
Early bookings increase the possibility of shared rides!

Collective trips
Collective journeys are important to us for cost and environmental reasons. For this reason, shared journeys are promoted according to reasonable criteria that are suitable for everyday use.
Registered customers generally pay a maximum fare of up to 10 kilometers for journeys within their municipality and to the hubs of the respective municipality.
The prices are calculated from the following model:

Transportation by shared cab
Payment methods:
Payment is made directly at the time of transportation, either cashless or in cash, or during the online booking process.
Additional prices:
- Children up to 6 years free of charge
but need an accompanying person older than 14 years and their own seat cover - Bike transport: € 3.00 per bike
- Animal transportation: € 3.00
(animals must be transported in a transport box or secured on the ground, dogs must wear a muzzle)
Home collection:
Home collection can be requested from a municipality under the following conditions:
- Disability card
- Care level
- Medical certificate (limited in time)
