Customs, culture and tradition...
...365 days a year
Customs have evolved over the centuries, especially in rural and artisan working life. These customs are closely intertwined with church festivals.
So it should come as no surprise that our paradisiacal region has retained its charm and character to this day. The population's loving treatment of traditional customs has certainly done the rest. Our customs at Almenland are not only cultivated for our guests, but are also firmly anchored in the festive calendar of the local population.
In the individual municipal areas, as can be found at Almenland , customs, musicdance, songs as well as dialect and traditional costume have been preserved to the present day and continue to develop. Musicians' regulars' tables and musicians' meetings, for example at the Ritschi inn or the Almgasthaus Stroßeggwirt, are also celebrated. Guests from near and far come here to make music with the local musicians, celebrate and sing together. The inns in the municipality of Fladnitz an der Teichalm also"sing and yodel together", with all music enthusiasts coming together at the monthly meetings.
If you think of Almenland, the first thing that comes to mind is probably folk music and alpine songs, which are still very much alive in their original sense. Anyone interested is invited to sing along and listen. The harmonica meetings in Gasen are not only well known because of the Stoakogler but also because of the Stoanineum - the music school for adults. During the year, there are also several singing and yodeling workshops on Styrian musical instruments related to the harmonica that can be attended.
But completely new productions of music are also created in the nature park Almenland. The"welovemelodies" team visits us every year and creates new songs and new beats at the songwriting camp at Almenland . The grand finale of the camp is always the slam session at Gasthaus Postwirt or the final concert with well-known musicians.
Theater lovers are also well catered for, especially in the summer months. Whether Austrian classics, rural folk plays or convivial cabaret groups - there is something for every taste. The Huab'n Theater plays Austrian classics at the highest level in a wonderful atmosphere. The Almenlandtheater SPOTLEIT delivers outstanding performances in Fladnitz an der Teichalm in the fall. And in the neighboring village there is the rustic farmer's theater of the Schremser Theaterverein.
