Directions

The Feistritztalradweg R8 offers not only the roaring river, the Feistritz, but also many places to stop for refreshments and excursions. This cycle path is therefore also known as the "pleasure tour". The eventful, traffic-free cycle path winds its way through the Feistritzklamm gorge.

The cycle path starts in Kroisbach an der Feistritz in the direction of Blaindorf, Kaibing. You continue through Maria Fieberbründl and the village of St. Johann bei Herberstein. One of the most beautiful sections is the ride through the Stubenbergklamm gorge. After the gorge, continue towards Anger and Koglhof. The last section, from Koglhof to Birkfeld, can only be tackled on a busy road.

Important information:
The gorge is a nature reserve, which means that the cycle path can be built with as little impact on nature as possible. For this reason, the route must be taken in a nature-friendly manner.
Cycling is at your own risk. The fords may not be entered or used during high water. The fords must be passed by bike at walking pace or by pushing the bike. No liability is accepted
