Even if they are almost exotic among the many cattle, horses enliven the pasture landscape on the alpine pasture. At the beginning of June, the alpine season begins with the traditional "horse-letting-out", when the horses conquer their pasture anew every year. Strong Noriker and agile Haflinger horses meet their previously unfamiliar conspecifics. The strongest of them immediately decide who will be the "boss" on the alpine pasture for the coming summer, and things really get down to business!
The "Ross auslassen", always on the 1st Saturday in June on the Sommeralm, is a spectacle worth seeing that attracts hundreds of visitors.
