Plankogel circular route
Hike with 360-degree panoramic views
One of the most beautiful circular hiking trails on the Sommeralm, always with an unobstructed view of the landscape. The Plankogel summit offers a 360° panoramic view of the alpine pasture area. One of the highest wind turbines in Europe is also visible from afar on the Sommeralm - at 1,400 m above sea level!
Starting from the Stoakoglhütte on the Sommeralm, the first part of the trail leads gently downhill through the forest. The first viewpoints are soon reached. Now keep left and climb slowly up to the windmill on the Sommeralm. Now you have the choice: ascent to the Plankogel summit or a leisurely walk back to the Stoakoglhütte.
This hike can easily be combined with an alpine breakfast at the Stoakoglhütte (please register)!
