Directions
The Mur Cycle Path is considered by connoisseurs to be the most beautiful river cycle path in the Alpine region and is always at the top of the poll for the most popular cycle paths. This cycle path is particularly popular because of its route, which leads through very different landscapes, but always with a great culinary offer.
The tour starts in the Hohe Tauern National Park, where the Murur spring is located in the village of Muhr. The route then leads through more alpine terrain in Salzburg and Upper Styria down to the almost Mediterranean Graz and fertile southern Styria. It ends in Croatia, where the Mur flows into the Drau.
The stage from Leoben to Graz also leads through the Almenland nature park. In Pernegg an der Mur, the Frauenkirche church is a beautiful destination and the GH Ritschi is the perfect place for a rest.
