the nature park Almenland!
We are part of the Eastern Styria adventure region, in the green heart of Austria!
From Pernegg an der Mur in the Mur Valley to Koglhof in the Feistritz Valley, from Schöckl to Rennfeld: the largest contiguous low mountain pasture area is the Almenland Nature Park and is located in Eastern Styria. Our approx. 100 accommodation establishments, with around 1,500 beds, generated approx. 200,200 overnight stays and approx. 81,000 arrivals in 2023.
Lush green meadows and dark green forests over rolling hills. In between, dots of red - the roofs of the farmhouses. And in the middle, embedded in a wide high plateau, the dark blue Teichalmsee with its colorful pedal boats. All around, light brown and dark brown dots: ALMO oxen, which provide delicious beef, and horses, which are allowed to enjoy the summer on the alpine pasture!
The Almenland is Europe's largest contiguous alpine pasture area. The approx. 3,000 ALMO alpine dairy cattle enjoy lush alpine grasses, crystal-clear spring water and GMO-free feeding. This is why Almenland is also known as the ALMO pleasure region. The ambassadors of the pleasure region are the ALMO pleasure hosts, who distinguish themselves with their ALMO beef cuisine, hospitality and cozy ambience.
In the alpine-fresh nature park Almenland , guests are not only offered the best culinary delights, but also experiences, fun and plenty to see and marvel at. Many excursion destinations numerous beautiful hiking trails, cycle tours and one of the most beautiful golf courses in the region. golf courses in Styria. Sporting activities are possible both in summer and in winter - on a refreshing summer vacation or a gentle mountain winter!
Great importance is attached to culture and customs, the festivals, markets and traditional events are also the destination of many guests who like to celebrate with the "Almenlandlers" and thus also immerse themselves in the attitude to life of the people living here.
