Gasthof Hofbauer on the festival meadow
Every year, horse lovers meet in Breitenau am Hochlantsch to uphold the culture of carriage driving and wood pulling on horseback. Around three thousand visitors marvel at the traditional draught horse meeting. A total of almost 60 carriages of various breeds and formations are expected.
Program:
- 9.00 a.m. Meeting point for the teams at the Hofbauer inn in St. Jakob
- followed by a procession through Breitenau to the Kösch inn and back again
- 1 p.m. Festive procession of the carriages from the parish church of St. Jakbo to the festival site at Gasthaus Hofbauer
- 14.00 Various demonstrations and bowling
Admission: voluntary donation
Food and drink will be provided, and there will be a big raffle with valuable prizes among the team drivers.
