Gerlerkogel from the Teichalm

If you have never been to the Teichalm before, this is the best route to start with. It takes you past the lake and through the moor, with the Gerlerkogel also offering a viewpoint.

The tour starts at the Breitalm and first leads down to the Teichalmsee. From there it goes gently uphill to the right towards Gerlerkogel, but the path actually leads around the Gerlerkogel, if you want you can of course take the short path up to the summit and then have a beautiful panoramic view. The new Gerlerkogel hutwhich, with its view, is perfect for a rest. The path continues past the Gerler cross back down to the Teichalm.

Right next to the mountain pine hut is the access to the wild and romantic Teichalm moorwhich can be hiked through. The trail ends at the lake at the wooden oxwhich represents the beef region Almenland . At the lake pedal boats for a short round trip and several restaurants for a break. The rest of the trail now leads past the Holzochsen up to the Hotel Pierer and back to the Breitalm, at the foot of the Heulantsch.
