Panoramic hike!
The Hohe Zetz is the Weizer's mountain with the best views. With the Gasthaus Almer with its Rauchstube is also a popular excursion inn along the way.
Brandlucken is the eastern gateway to the Alpine pasture area, but is itself situated at over 1,000 m above sea level. The village is dominated by the open-air stage of the Huab'n Theaterwhich stages Austrian comedy classics here in the summer months. At 1,264 m, the Hohe Zetz is a popular panoramic mountain and can be hiked from the Brandlucken without any major inclines. With a bit of luck, you may even come across chamois. From the summit cross you have a wonderful view as far as the Hungarian lowlands. From Hoher Zetz, the trail descends to the Rauchstubenhaus with the Almer inn, which is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. The 300-year-old farmhouse high above Anger was inhabited until 1967 and today houses the "Rauchstubenhaus", a small museum of local history with rural exhibits. Guided tours take place several times a day from Thursday to Sunday.
The destination is the idyllic village of Anger, from where you can take the SAM cab back to the Brandlucken.
