Wonderful viewpoints!
The hiking trail leads in a wide arc from Koglhof up to Sallegg and back again on the other side of the Almenland panoramic road.
The start is at the summer toboggan runwhere there is also a refreshment stop. The route then heads out to St. Georgen with its church, which is well worth seeing, and on to Aschau, a beautiful village with magnificent farms. There the ascent begins through the forest up to Sallegg. Unfortunately, the Obi Hansl hut is no longer open, so there is no place to stop for refreshments here.
We keep left at the country road and walk back down to Koglhof. The last section of the trail leads along the forest nature trail and the Way of the Cross into the village center. Passing the parish church, we reach the starting point again at the summer toboggan run/GH Rodelstub'n.
Combine the hike with a visit to the summer toboggan run or the motor skills park. The Oswald/Schaffer vinegar factory is also waiting for you in Rossegg. Here you can taste a wide variety of vinegars made with regional fruits and herbs.
Start/finish: Koglhof
Parking: Car park summer toboggan run or Koglhof town center
