For the professionals
The difficult hiking trails are characterized by mountain paths, some of which wind their way through rocky terrain. The trailblazer in the Almenland Nature Park is certainly the Bärenschützklamm gorge. These hiking trails are usually more than 16 kilometers long and cover more than 800 meters in altitude. A good level of fitness, a head for heights and mountain experience are required here. The appropriate equipment should also be available for every hike.
Several day and multi-day hiking trails also run through the nature park. The so-called stage trails stop off at one summit or another. The Styrian Mariazell long-distance hiking trail or the "From glacier to wine" stage trail, which runs right across Styria, are particularly popular.
