With "Pozilo" to the Raab spring
The Raab rises north of Passail, at the foot of the Osser and in the middle of the Almenland nature park. This mythical river flows 250 km through Eastern Styria and Hungary until it flows into the Danube at Györ. A few kilometers after Passail, the Raab forms Austria's longest gorge, which is also a popular destination for hikers (Raabklamm circular trail)
The trail leads in a wide arc to the Raabursprung and back down to the Waldmühle rest stopwhich lies at the head of the valley to the north of Passail. This family hiking trail leads past several steeply situated mountain farms, with the story of "Pozilo", the deer and the little droplet "Sprungingerl" being told along the way.
If you want to extend the hike a little, you can hike steeply up from the Raabursprung to the "Schwoabauer-Kreuz" on the Sommeralm (trail no. 754, approx. 1/2 hour, 200 m altitude).
