From rowan ash to rowan berry schnapps
The Vogelbeer-Panoramaweg is an adventure hiking trail in St. Kathrein/Offenegg, which is entirely dedicated to the Almenland regional tree rowan. The Graf distillery, which produces the award-winning and highly praised rowanberry brandy, has a special connection to this plant.
The trail itself has several adventure stations, from a panoramic sofa to a sound oasis and a forest xylophone. At the Schwoaghofer pond, you can refresh yourself at the "Brunntrog" and on the larch meadow, tired hikers can rest on the unique "Laaangen Bank". Along the way, you can learn interesting facts about the rowan berry on well-presented boards. The oversized horseshoe figures by Almart artist Sascha Exenberger also await admirers along the way. The last section of the trail leads along the "scent trail" around the church in the town center. The wonderful view also makes this trail attractive!
The Sulamith Garden and the Graf distillery are just along the way and are well worth a visit.
