Nature park Almenland in Styria

Winter in the nature park Almenland

In winter, the Almenland Nature Park presents itself in many facets: November and December are all about the pre-Christmas period. The Christmas markets, the romantic atmosphere and the music events enchant young and old alike. In the weeks after the turn of the year, you can experience the winter landscape as locals know and love it: with lots of snow, fun on the slopes and nature. A time for connoisseurs!

The ski season is already starting:
The Teichalm lifts in the nature park Almenland open on November 30th and will get you going on the first three weekends. Continuous lift operation is planned from December 20 - all that's missing now is a big snow package from Mother Hulda!
The Holzmeister lifts will also be in continuous operation from December 8th! The Pirstingerkogellift will be open on December 15 and from December 20 onwards!

Winter in the Almenland

When the sun shines over snow-covered alpine pastures, glistening snow and streams with icy banks, then Almenland unfolds its full charm! This is when cross-country skiers glide over the sunniest trails far and wide and everyone who wants to "warm up" again can enjoy the wellness facilities high above the blanket of fog!

The fine, small ski resorts impress with their charm, manageability and affordable lift prices, making them ideal for a family vacation. The ski schools, which take great care of the little ones on the slopes, are a perfect match. The magic carpets and children's lifts will delight parents, who will have lots of fun tobogganing and sliding down the slopes with their offspring.

If you want to enjoy the winter landscape above all else, get out your hiking boots or snowshoes and trudge through the snow along the winter hiking trails. Guided tours are also available for snowshoe beginners. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are available for romantic types.

See you - on a winter vacation in the nature park Almenland!
