Spectacular climbs and magnificent views

This challenging hike begins above the Weizklamm in Naas and offers wonderful views.

The hike leads over steep and, in places, pathless terrain along the Jägersteig trail and then continues on to the Patscha.
Since the trails are not marked throughout, it is recommended to complete the hike using OutdoorActive.
Already at the Patschasattel, you’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Passail and Weiz.
From there, the trail continues to the Patscha summit, where you can enjoy the snack you brought along.

Parking spaces are available right at the entrance.

Places to Stop for a Meal

There are no staffed huts along the trail. The only place to stop for a break would be:

Road Conditions

The hike follows well-marked trails, alpine paths, forest trails, logging roads, and short paved sections. With an elevation gain of about 780 meters and a walking time of about five and a half hours, a good level of basic fitness is required. The ascent to the Plankogel is steeper, but you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view.

Part of the route passes through alpine pastureland. Please observe the rules of conduct when encountering grazing livestock.
