Zanschbach Bed and Breakfast

Located on the edge of the forest, the Zanschbach Bed & Breakfast is just one kilometer from Passail’s market square and lies directly on the Mariazell Long-Distance Hiking Trail.

All rooms— 3 double rooms and 1 single room —are equipped with a shower, toilet, balcony, satellite TV, and Wi-Fi.

We care deeply about supporting local products, and this is reflected in our breakfast. From homemade jams and cakes, local honey, bread from the neighborhood bakery, and ham from our trusted butcher to fresh teas from the herbal workshop, you’ll find a wide variety of regional delicacies to help you start your day off right.

However, Wi-Fi is almost unnecessary in this area, since the bed-and-breakfast is located at the foot of the Teichalm/Sommeralm recreational area. In the summer, you’ll find beautiful hiking trails , but even during the colder months, there’s a wide range of range of winter sports. An outdoor pool, a swimming lake, and golf course are not far from the house.

This bed-and-breakfast is located right on the Mariazell Long-Distance Hiking Trail, making it the ideal place for pilgrims to stop for a break. But there are also other hiking trails, such as the Raabursprung Circular Trail , can be started right from the front door. You can also hike up to the Sommeralm, or drive to the Teichalm and Sommeralm by car and start your hike from there.

Cyclists won’t be left out either—there are plenty of bike tours that will show you the beautiful spots in the Almenland region. By the way, the “Tischlein-Deck-Dich” bike tour passes right by our front door.
