Scattered Orchard and Hedge Day & Fruit Tree Pruning Course

Fruit Tree Pruning Course from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.:
Here you can also gain the necessary expertise.
Under the expert guidance and advice of pomologist Katharina Daradi-Dianat, you will learn how to properly prune fruit trees based on their species, age, and size, and you can put what you’ve learned into practice right away in the afternoon.

Ordering Fruit Trees

Naturpark Almenland will cover 50% of the cost of the first 100 fruit trees. A maximum of 10 trees may be ordered per person. The co-payment must be made before the saplings are distributed. To place an order, fill out the form and email it to naturpark (at) almenland. at. Orders can be placed from September 2 through September 25, 2026!

Ordering Wild Shrub Hedges

In addition, as part of the “ Naturpark Almenland ” habitat network project, climate hedge kits are provided free of charge. The kits contain 10 varieties of woody plants. To order a wild shrub hedge, please provide your address, property number, GPS coordinates, and phone number.

The Naturpark Almenland nature, agriculture, and culinary delights into a unique cultural landscape. This magazine tells the stories of dedicated individuals, introduces regional producers and restaurants, and showcases how sustainable agriculture, traditional cuisine, and a commitment to regional identity shape the nature park. At the same time, it invites readers to discover the history, values, and unique characteristics of the Almenland.

Biodiversity in Naturpark Almenland one of our greatest strengths. Through the project “Biotope Network in the Styrian Nature Parks,” valuable habitats are being preserved, interconnected, and purposefully developed. By implementing specific measures, we are creating better conditions for animals and plants and helping visitors experience the importance of biodiversity firsthand.

The Moarktbus Project in Naturpark Almenland.

The new management plan serves as the strategic foundation for the continued development of the Almenland Nature Park Almenland the next five years. The goal is to preserve our valuable cultural landscape, promote biodiversity, and ensure the sustainable development of low-impact tourism.

The main areas of focus are:

Preserving Alpine pastures and grazing lands by supporting agricultural management
Promoting Biodiversity Through the Management and Connectivity of Valuable Habitats
Improving Mobility and Visitor Guidance for a Mindful Nature Experience

The plan was developed in collaboration with local stakeholders and is based on cooperation, innovation, and clear goals.
