To the most beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Weizklamm Gorge

The route leads past the Patscha summit to the Patscha-Nase (also known as the Patscha Saddle or Predigtstuhl), which is famous for its magnificent views. The Patscha-Nase overlooks the Weizklamm gorge on a steep slope; to the southwest, there is a spectacular view stretching from St. Kathrein am Offenegg across the Sommeralm and into the Passailer valley, with the Rote Wand in the background.

Locals know this spot as the “3 Churches Viewpoint” because three towns with their church steeples can be seen from here. To the east, you can see the quarries in the gorge (Wolfsattel) and the district capital, Weiz.

The starting point is the “flower village” of St. Kathrein, which is known not only for its floral decorations but also for its picturesque townscape, featuring the church perched on a rock in the town center. Around the town, several attractions invite visitors to explore, while inns and snack bars invite travelers to stop for a bite to eat.
