Gasen

A loop hike featuring magnificent views, exciting interactive stations, and many insights into the lives of the Stoakogler people as well as the natural and cultural landscape of the Almenland Nature Park.

In the Footsteps of the Stoakoglers

This unique hiking trail winds its way around the picturesque village of Gasen. Along the way, there are several interactive stations, such as an observation tower and a Kneipp station. In addition, informational signs provide detailed explanations of agriculture, alpine farming, and forestry, as well as hunting and wildlife.

Since the trail also passes by the farms of the "Stoakogler" brothers, it’s the perfect route for all fans of this successful folk music quartet! As a true fan, you should also pay a visit to the Stoani House of Music —here, the interactive exhibition offers insights into the lives and careers of the Stoakogler.

In the center of Gasen, there are three inns where you can stop for a break. On hot summer days, you can cool off at the Gasen outdoor pool after a hike.
