ALMO Beef, Free-Range Chickens & Homemade Pasta
At the Moarhofhechtl, regional traditions have been a way of life for generations. The farm has been family-owned since 1792 and was first mentioned in historical records as early as 1383. Today, Petra and Robert run the farm with great passion and plenty of energy. Petra, a true powerhouse, keeps everything running smoothly together with her family—because at the Moarhofhechtl, everyone pitches in. The younger generation brings fresh ideas to the table, while the older generation continues to actively support the farm.
Happy free-range chickens scratch around the farmyard, while ALMO cattle graze in the pastures, Almenland to the unique cultural landscape of the Almenland Nature Park.
Using the farm’s own free-range eggs, over 40 different varieties of homemade pasta are crafted with great care. If you’d like to take a look behind the scenes, you can join a farm tour to see how free-range eggs are turned into finished pasta and why “locally sourced” is more than just a buzzword at Moarhofhechtl.
