Various Hiking Options
There are various ways to explore the Bärenschützklamm. Both Mixnitz (which has a train station and several parking lots) and the Teichalm are suitable starting points. In addition to classic loop hikes, point-to-point hikes—for example, to Breitenau or the Teichalm—are also possible. Thanks to the SAM shared taxi service in Eastern Styria, you can flexibly combine your starting and ending points.
Among the most popular hikes are the Bärenschützklamm Loop starting from Mixnitz or Teichalm (about 5 hours each), the hike to Breitenau (about 4.5 hours), and more challenging loop hikes via Schüsserlbrunn and the Hochlantsch (about 8 to 9 hours). You can find all the hikes—including route descriptions, GPX downloads, and additional information—on the respective hiking pages.
