Family Ski Day on December 13

On December 13, 2026, it’s time once again in the Almenland Nature Park Almenland throughout Eastern Styria to strap on your skis and welcome winter together! At the Family Ski Day, young and old alike can look forward to a fun-filled start to the season at the Teichalm lifts, as well as at the Holzmeisterlift and Pirstingerkogellift on the Sommeralm. Children 15 and under ski for free!

There will also be a variety of activities, including free hot water, introductory lessons from the ski school, race training with the ski club, and an exciting mountain rescue demonstration. Look forward to an unforgettable winter day full of fun, exercise, and shared experiences for the whole family!

Teichalm Lifts, Teichalm

The Teichalm lifts, located at 1,200 meters above sea level right next to Lake Teichalm, offer skiing fun for the whole family. Two T-bar lifts, three magic carpets, and a modern snowmaking system ensure ideal conditions. The lift buffet is a great place to stop for a break. The Reisinger Snow Sports School, which also offers ski rentals, provides ski and snowboard lessons for children and adults right on the slopes. There’s a dedicated kids’ area as well as a natural toboggan run with sled rentals, ensuring plenty of fun for young and old alike.

FUNBASE Holzemeisterlift, Sommeralm

The FUNBASE Holzmeisterlift at the Sommeralm offers sunny skiing fun for the whole family. Two T-bar lifts ensure short wait times, while the Märchenwiese, the wave run, the halfpipe, and the children’s lift provide fun for the little ones. The on-site restaurant invites you to stop in for a break. The ALML Eder Ski School, which also offers ski rentals, guides children and adults onto the slopes.

FUNBASE is open year-round; in the summer, the slopes near the ski lift are transformed into a bike area with trails, mountain go-karts, and a bike school. You can take the ski lift up with your bikes and go-karts.

Pirstingerkogel Lift, Sommeralm

The Pirstingerkogel Lift at the Sommeralm delights visitors with two T-bar lifts and shaded slopes with guaranteed snow. Right next to the HoldaHütt'n alpine inn, you’ll find a rustic mountain hut atmosphere paired with excellent cuisine. A snow bar at the summit, the natural toboggan run, and the ALMI Eder Ski School make this ski area the perfect winter destination for families and leisure skiers alike.

Eibisberg Lift, Anger

The Eibisberg Lift in the municipality of Anger (Naintsch) offers a variety of skiing experiences for beginners, families, and active winter sports enthusiasts. Perfectly groomed runs and natural snow slopes ensure a variety of downhill experiences. After a day on the slopes, the rustic Hermanns Hütte at the valley station invites you to stop in for a cozy break with regional delicacies and hearty meals.

We invite guests spending their ski vacation in Fladnitz an der Teichalm to go skiing at the Teichalm lifts and cross-country skiing. Enjoy the slopes and trails around the Teichalm completely free of charge!

This offer is valid starting with the first night’s stay from Monday through Friday at the Teichalm lifts and all cross-country trails, for all guests staying at one of the establishments listed below, for the duration of their stay. Exceptions: holidays, Christmas break, and semester break (every 3 weeks)
