Anyone Almenland through Almenland who loves local specialties should definitely stop by the Graf Distillery in St. Kathrein am Offenegg . Located right on the Rowanberry Panorama Trail, everything here revolves around fine spirits, authentic craftsmanship, and what is arguably the region’s most famous fruit: the rowanberry.

With great passion and experience, Daniela and Michael Graf transform berries, wild fruits, and heirloom fruit varieties into exquisite brandies and liqueurs. They are particularly fond of rowanberries. What often goes unnoticed elsewhere is transformed here into a true specialty—and provides many guests with moments of surprising delight.

Guided Tours 2026

During the tour, you’ll learn about the history of the rowanberry at Graf Farm, after which you’ll head to the distillery, where you’ll learn how the fruit is turned into fine brandy. The tour concludes with a tasting of fine brandies—ranging from Hirschbirne to rowanberry schnapps.

Graf Delicatessen – Almenland

After the tour, it’s worth stopping by the on-site gift shop. Here, connoisseurs Almenland the Graf family’s excellent fine brandies and liqueurs, as well as many other specialties from the Almenland Nature Park.

The gourmet shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During these hours, guided tastings are also available, offering fascinating insights into the distillery and the variety of fine spirits.

Whether it’s rowanberries, wild pears, or regional delicacies—here you’ll find the perfect souvenir and a little piece Almenland home. Many products can also be conveniently ordered from the online store.
