Across the Alpine Pastures, from Hut to Hut

The Ochsentour winds its way right through the heart of the beef-producing region, combining physical challenges with breathtaking natural scenery and culinary delights. During the summer months, thousands of cattle graze on the expansive alpine pastures around the Teichalm and Sommeralm, shaping the region’s distinctive landscape.

Along the route, numerous attractions invite you to take a well-deserved break. Lake Teichalm, with its striking wooden ox, the Pöllabauer Herb Garden, the Stoanihaus, and the Forest Park offer a variety of places to stop along the way. If you still have some energy left, you can extend the tour with a detour to Brandlucken, Heilbrunn, or the St. Erhard Pilgrimage Church.
