Christmas Markets

The Christmas markets in Almenland with living traditions, regional crafts, and a festive Advent atmosphere. Each Advent market has its own unique character—from traditional markets at Teichalm and Brandlucken the charming Advent trail in St. Kathrein am Offenegg. Special events such as the Alpaca Advent, the Herb Farmers’ Advent, and the Cookie Market also make the Almenland an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Traditional Events

In Almenland , the Almenland season begins with the traditional St. Barbara celebrations and continues with the atmospheric Krampus and Perchten parades. On December 5, St. Nicholas brings small surprises for children, before lantern walks and mountain bonfires light up the longest night of the year during the winter solstice. A special symbol of peace is the Peace Light from Bethlehem, which is carried through the towns on December 24.
