The Morr Nature Trail is located right on the Teichalm, near Lake Teichalm.

Experience the Highlights of the Teichalm on a Hike

The perfect hike for anyone visiting the alpine pasture for the first time. The hike goes around the Teichalmsee and then, a little higher up, on to the Pension-Camping Holzmeister. The return route passes the Harrerhütte, where you can sample alpine cheese and yogurt.

Back at the Teichalm, right next to the wooden ox, is the trailhead leading to the moor—one of Austria’s last mountain pine moors, home to unique flora and fauna. The moor nature trail winds around the moor on wooden planks and ends at the Latschenhütte.

Alternative route:
This leisurely loop trail around the lake and through the marsh is also accessible with a stroller or wheelchair. Duration: about 1 hour for 2.5 km

Road Conditions

The hike follows easily navigable alpine trails, forest roads, meadow paths, and short paved sections. The bog nature trail leads through the raised bog via accessible wooden planks. Overall, the tour is easy and ideal for families.

Note: The bog nature trail is closed during the winter months and usually reopens in the spring (weather permitting).
