Historic Mills, Works of Art, and the Beauty of Nature

The highly decorated, idyllic flower village of St. Kathrein am Offenegg is the starting point for this hiking trail that passes by the last remaining mills.

A short, perfect loop that starts and ends at the Karl-Wirt, where you can stop for a bite to eat.

In the Lambach Valley, through which the Mill Trail runs, there were originally 20 mills. Today, there are still two historic mills (the Lambach Mill and the Grabenflorl Mill) and one operational mill: the Winkelbauermühle. Guided tours are also available here.

Before or after your hike, take a stroll through the village or along the “Scent Trail” right next to the church. Just above St. Kathrein, Sissy Sichart’s wonderful Sulamith Garden is well worth a visit!
