Via Strassegg to the Sommeralm
The “Mountain Farmers’ Trail” winds in a wide arc around the idyllic village of Gasen. From the village center, the trail leads—past beautiful mountain farms—up to the Strassegg. From there, the hike continues—initially followingthe “Mariazellerweg” for a while—up to the summer alpine pasture. The“Stoakoglhütte,” located in the heart of the alpine pastureland, offers hikers a wonderful place to stop for a break. The trail back to Gasen also runs for a good stretch along the “Stoakogler Heimatweg.”
In the village of Gasen, the "Stoanihaus der Musik" invites all folk music enthusiasts to visit—especially, of course, all fans of the "Stoakogler." Since the "Stoakogler Heimatwanderweg" hiking trail is also dedicated to this popular folk music group, you’ll learn many interesting facts about the lives and careers of the Willingshofer brothers on the final stretch of the trail.
In the center of Gasen, three restaurant owners are looking forward to welcoming hungry visitors.
