Troadkasten Schmalzbauer Vacation Home

Spend a few relaxing days in our rustic, lovingly renovated Troadkasten ( grain storage barn) right on our organic farm at 1,100 meters above sea level.

On the ground floor of the vacation rental, there is

• a cozy living room with a wood-burning stove
• a fold-out couch and a sitting area
• as well as a bathroom with a shower, toilet, washing machine, and hair dryer

The kitchen is fully equipped with

• Electric Stove
• Dishwasher
• large refrigerator
• Coffee Maker & Electric Kettle
• Toaster

A spacious front yard and a balcony with outdoor furniture invite you to relax. Guests have access to satellite TV for entertainment and free Wi-Fi.

The bedroom, which has a double bed and two extra beds, is located on the first floor. It also has a balcony and a large entryway with mattresses for two people.

There are plenty of play options for children, and books and board games are available to borrow if needed. Pets are also allowed in the vacation rental.

If you enjoy listening to folk music or like to play the harmonica yourself, then the town of Gasen is the place for you! Since 2018, the town—along with Pernegg/Mur, Breitenau/Hochlantsch, and Birkfeld—has been part of the “Music Route.” There’s a wide-ranging program here featuring music workshops, classes, and various events. So you definitely shouldn’t miss the Stoanihausin Gasen and maybe even show off your own musical talent.

Of course, besides music, there are many other ways to spend your vacation. A hike through the beautiful town, stopping for a bite to eat at one of the many inns , or visiting one or two attractions, such as the Stelzer family’s alpaca farm...
